RoHS and WEEE As of January 1st, 2006 RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC) which stands for "restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment" came into force in European Nations. Similarly, WEEE Directive (2002/96/EC) which stands for "waste electrical and electronic equipment" was taken into effect from August 13, 2005 by various EU members. These two directives affect the electronic industry in every level including producers, retailers, distributors and all businesses and non-household users of electrical and electronic equipment. SystemBase is committed to comply with all environmental requirements including RoHS and WEEE ensuring our customers and their communities of environment safety from our products. RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances) - Directive 2002/95/EC RoHS prohibits the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyl (PBB), and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) flame retardants WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) - Directive 2002/96/EC WEEE addresses guidelines for collection, handling and recycling of electric and electronic waste.
